Are the ships handicapped accessible?
The tall ships are not equipped for handicapped access, however the walkway where the ships are docked on both the north and south side of the harbor will be handicapped accessible. While the ships are historic, they want you to enjoy them too! As such, crew will conduct dockside interpretations at 10:30am daily. Here is the schedule:

What is the best viewing location for the Parade of Sail for those with mobility issues/wheelchairs?
Depending on your mobility, probably Celebration Place. It is located just east of the Kenosha Public Museum at 5500 1st Ave, Kenosha, WI 53140
Will there be wheel-chair friendly restrooms available at Kenosha Tall Ships® 2019?
Yes – the event will have port-a-johns that can accommodate wheelchairs. They will be located next to the general line-up of port-a-johns.
Is there Handicapped Parking available?
There are ADA spaces throughout downtown Kenosha. There will be designated ADA parking for people with a designated ADA placard across from the entrance on 6th Avenue, and on 51st Place. If you are going on a sail away on the north side (near the Kenosha Sailing Center and Yacht Club), our recommendation is to park near 6th Avenue and 50th Street and take the shuttle down to the Sail Away Village. What if it rains?
The Kenosha Tall Ships® 2019 is a rain or shine event. Please prepare for the weather by bringing sunscreen, rain jackets and/or umbrellas. There will be a lot of walking involved, so comfortable, flat shoes are recommended. Please see the list of prohibited items to ensure you are allowed access with your belongings. There will not be a storage area for those items not allowed.
Will ship crew be on board the ships during viewing hours?
There will be an opportunity to interact with crew members during your visit aboard the ships.
Can I bring a stroller?
Strollers are allowed on the walkway and event sites. Strollers are not allowed on the ships, but there will be space on the piers for strollers next to ship gangways. Placement of strollers is based on the honor system. There is no specific parking area for strollers
Can I bring a selfie stick?
Hi – sorry – no. Our security guidelines prevent selfie sticks. We hope you will use one of our many selfie squares and circles with ships in the background to share your story at #kenoshatallships
Will there be fireworks?
Hi – no – not this year.
Where is the Lost & Found located?
Kenosha Tall Ships® 2019 is not responsible for lost items. If you do lose something, please check with the ticket booth during festival hours.
Where can I buy ship merchandise?
Ships will be selling logoed merchandise on board. As most of these vessels are part of non-profit education-based organizations, they appreciate the support.

Will there be food and beverage available for purchase at Kenosha Tall Ships® 2019
Yes, there will be food and beverage available for purchase! Come and enjoy! A variety of food will be available for purchase. Soft drinks will be provided by Pepsi, and CJW, Inc. will provide Miller Lite and other beverages. Join us dockside and watch the ships come in and out!
Can I bring my own food and beverage into the event grounds?
No, outside food and beverage are not permitted. Baby bags carrying formula only.
Are pets allowed?
Be kind to your pets and please leave them home. Pets are not allowed at the events (excluding certified service animals). Please note that service animals are not allowed down ladders of the ships. Crew are not allowed to assist animals. Please be respectful of this request.
Can I bring a drone?
Drones are not allowed during Kenosha Tall Ships® 2019. Failure to comply is punishable by law.

- Kenosha Sailing Center & Yacht Club & Sail Away Village (1 minute)
- South to 6thAvenue and 54thStreet (2 minutes) – opposite the west entrance of the festival

Parking lots and green space used for special events surround Kenosha City Hall at 625 52ndStreet between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue as well as surrounding areas.
Reuther High School, also just a few blocks away is also a good option for downtown parking. Address is 913 57th Street, Kenosha.

Indian Trails High School – 6800 60th Street – 11 minutes to downtown. Pick Up every 15 – 20 minutes.
When do the tall ships arrive?
Thursday, August 1, 2019 between 2:30pm – 6pm.
What is the best viewing area for the tall ships arrival?
Kenosha has such an amazing coastline! So from Pennoyer Park down to Celebration Place – you will find great viewing. Parade of Sail Map
Will there be restriction for private boats watching the parade on arrival day?
Yes – restrictions and specifications will be posted. Check back closer to the event for detailed information. Parade of Sail Map
Are cameras and video recorders allowed?
Will there be bag storage?
There is absolutely no bag storage at any location. Please pay close attention to the prohibited items list as there are no exceptions. Patrons must comply or they will not be granted access to the viewing areas. There will not be a discard area for those items not allowed.
Are you allowed to re-enter after going through a security check point?
Patrons are allowed to leave the secured area, however, must repeat the screening process each time they re-enter. Each visitor may get a hand stamp for re-admission.
Will there be security screenings to get onto the ships?
Yes, there will be stadium style security screenings to gain access to event spaces.
